Why We Built Soapie

Soapie was built to connect the formula, the batch, the cure board, and the cost record in one local-first workshop app.

Soapie exists because soapmaking tools often stop too early. They calculate the formula, then leave the maker to manage the actual workshop in disconnected notes, spreadsheets, and memory.

The gap we cared about

We wanted one product that could connect:

  • formulation
  • batch execution
  • cure tracking
  • cost history

The product stance

The app is intentionally local-first and deliberately not subscription-first at launch. That is not a marketing line. It is part of the trust model the workflow depends on.
